Proud to care for Orkney’s pets, in sickness and in health

With a history dating back to 1861, we’ve built a deep understanding of life in Orkney and what matters most to local pet owners.

We’ve used that knowledge to create our Best of Health wellness plans – designed to provide the highest standard of preventative care for pets across the islands.

We know how important it is to have trusted relationships with your veterinary team. That’s why our Gold and Silver members enjoy unlimited consultations with our vets and nurses.

We firmly believe in the value of preventative healthcare, in catching problems early and treating them before they can become serious.

Silver members can visit our vets and nurses as many times as they need throughout the year without worrying about the cost, while our gold members also receive a comprehensive annual health screen, including a full blood profile, urine analysis and faecal parasite analysis.

Every pet on a Best of Health plan benefits from vaccinations, check-ups, tailored parasite treatments and a range of exclusive discounts.

Total transparency for preventative healthcare

Our Best of Health wellness plan breaks down the cost of preventative healthcare into 12 monthly payments, with an annual saving of up to £180 – and our prices won’t change over the course of your year’s membership, combining peace of mind with fantastic value.

Silver v Gold – which membership is right for me?

Unlimited consultations are included in both our silver and gold plans, meaning that if members have any concerns about their pets, they can bring them in to see us without worrying about the cost.

The difference between the two plans lies in the comprehensive annual health check included in gold membership, including a full blood profile, urine analysis and faecal parasite analysis.

Taking blood and urine samples gives us the most detailed insight into a pet’s wellbeing and gives us the best chance to get ahead of any potential issues before they become serious.

Regularly analysing your pet’s faeces allows us to screen for internal parasites, providing reassurance that their treatment is effective and helping to ensure they remain parasite-free.

Introducing our Unlimited Appointments plan

There’s even more choice for you to get the package that’s right for your pet, with our Unlimited Appointments plan.

For just £10 a month you gain unlimited access to our team – both online and in person – so you can make an appointment with us to get an expert opinion whenever you’re worried about the health of your pet.

It’s perfect for indoor cats and clients who like to pop in to see us to discuss their options before committing to any medication or treatment.
